Trend: Pearls, please!

Trend: Pearls, please!

Pearl details have been a staple at For Art's Sake since we started, but they just happen to be having a moment in fashion too. Maybe it was the baroque-style jewellery in The Favourite, or a natural progression in designers' current love for shells, all we know is that we were doing it long before it became the season's go-to look.

Whether it's a shell opening up to reveal a hidden pearl, embellished nose bridges or actual mermaids reclining on frames, we can confidently say that we do this extravagant design detail like no one else. Sleek and statement-making, these glasses take accessorising to a whole new level.

The pearl that launched 1000 more pearls

Our Goddess sunglasses kickstarted our passion for pearls. Initially taking inspiration from Botticelli's The Birth of Venus, Xiwen created one-of-a-kind sunglasses with shells at either end of the frameless lenses. Look a little closer though, and you'll realise the shells open to reveal little pearls. We want our sunglasses to make people feel something, and these can't help but evoke a sense of wonder.

Out-of-this-world designs

We can confidently say that we have never seen a pair of sunglasses as striking as these. Crafted from stainless steel and with each little etching in the mermaid's scales carved by hand, our Ariel frames are so original they've become synonymous with the For Art's Sake brand name and one of the top sellers in our store.

A new take on jewellery

Our bejewelled designs put a whole new spin on sunglasses because they bridge the gap between practical accessory and piece of jewellery. Perfect for elevating everyday style, they cut through the noise in an oversaturated industry because no one else is making sunglasses like this.
